As you may know, cards bearing the RFID symbol or the mention of PayPass™ or PayWave™ are vulnerable to identity theft. Duo-Lok™ RFID protection comes in a set of 2 tabs.

Duo-Lok™ tab shields are made of a thin, flexible, highly durable, metallic and plastic composite that can protect as many as 6 RFID cards when used with Capsul Case and up to 2 RFID cards in a regular wallet. Its tiny triads in a hexagonal matrix shield your RFID cards from unauthorized scanning.

Duo-Lok™ RFID protection was designed to be use with women’s and men’s classic wallets, as well as Capsul cardholders.

Use

When you use Duo-Lokᵀᴹ with Capsul case, it can protect as many as 6 RFID cards when placed in between the two tab shields. If you use Duo-lokᵀᴹ with your own wallet, insert 1 tab behind each RFID card you want to protect. If your wallet slots allow you to insert 2 cards, 1 Duo-Lokᵀᴹ tab will be able to protect both of them. 

Care

You can wash your Duo-Lokᵀᴹ tabs with rubbing alcohol used in household cleaning. It will not affect the quality of the protection.

RFID protection, such as Duo-Lokᵀᴹ tabs, will allow you to rest easy by blocking any RFID waves trying to scan your cards!

Are credit and debit cards the only ones to have microchips?

No! The RFID technology is embedded within certain passeports (Canada, United States, Australia, and most European Union countries), your corporate ID cards and your driver license might also contain one. The PayPass identification only appears on cards you pay with, but other cards such as mentioned above, might also have RFID technology without any symbol indicating so. Make sure your wallet is protected!

"My black Capsul was my every day carry wallet for nearly fifteen years. The hinge on the clasp finally gave up and I had no hesitation in getting a new one. This time red with a 🇨🇦. It's perfect, holding a small stack of cards and a little emergency cash; it never gets too big for comfort. I like the idea of the RFID protection but find their tabs irritating. It would be great if they could be stuck to the inside of the Capsul - but would my RFID tracking card work then ? . . ."

The best money you will ever spend!

"I wrote a spectacular review of this case a very long time ago on the MEC website. The company actually contacted me to ask if they could use it and sent me some free RFID cards they were testing at the time (which I still also use). This is dollar for dollar the best purchase of anything I have ever made in my life. It is water resistant and is the ONLY wallet I have found that fits both credit cards, ID cards and business cards PERFECTLY without being too bulky. It fits PERFECTLY in the front pocket of any pants I own (especially in the front pocket holder or the zip up pocket of Lululemon ABC pants which have become my favourite go to pants, especially for travel) and also fits PERFECTLY in a suit or jacket pocket. It looks sleek, sophisticated, and the rounded edges mean it doesn’t get snagged in my pockets or caught up in a bag and is easy to handle. I was once buying something in a Prada store and the staff complimented me on my Capsul and asked me what brand it was! I probably bought 50-100 of these over the years for my own personal use plus to give away to friends and family because 1) they are so fantastic 2) I feel guilty because these things last FOREVER. You are gonna think the locking mechanism will fail but I’ve got some of these in use after 10 years. I switch up my main wallet one every few years just because after tens of thousands of times of sliding in and out of my pocket and being opened and closed the colour fades a bit. I use red colour to store band aids and first aid for travel and green for tea bags and charging cables. I’ve also used it for pill storage in a small Ziploc bag. This is truly one of the only products I feel is severely underpriced. I recently tried the OGON Aluminium wallet smart case which cost $140 USD and was a complete waste of money because it was too bulky to fit in a pocket and could only store a small amount of cards and no business cards. Buy this product. It will be the best purchase you have ever made! I am such a fan of this product the company should really be paying me!"
